Drake Launches New Loader and Bagger
(WAYNESBORO, VA ) The Drake Company sets the industry standard for the high speed loading of cylindrical food products in preparation for packaging. With the introduction of their LS-600, mid-size packaging lines can now benefit from Drake technology. "Global demand for a loader of this capacity drove the decision to develop this machine," according to Stephen Nunn, Drake Company President.
Capable of loading up to 600 pieces per minute, this compact machine was designed for packaging lines operating at 1 to 1.5 tons per hour capacity. The unit can handle a variety of products up to 200 mm (8 inches) in length for bulk and retail packages. Multiple counts and layers are easily and quickly changed from one package size to another.
Hygiene and safety are paramount. Completely guarded moving parts can be easily disassembled and cleaned without tools in less than an hour. For example, in the launcher section, the proven sanitary food belts have been used to ease cleaning. Four totally enclosed AC stainless steel motors drive the equipment and withstand severe sanitation procedures used in RTE environments.
The Drake BL-600 is an optional bag loading device that mates with the Drake LS-600 autoloader. It easily wheels under the loading head where it receives exact product counts. The exact counts are transported to the single station loading area. At that point, the loading piston automatically fills the bag preloaded onto a chute constructed to your specifications.
