October 9, 2007 - Stacked Motor Bearings feature thrust elements with spring-mounted pads running against runners that can be stacked repeatedly to handle any axial load within diametrically limited envelope. Suited for up- and down-thrust load applications, self-aligning products equalize load regardless of stack size and withstand abrasive service conditions. Bearings are qualified for mud-lubricated, down-hole directional drilling motors and come in sizes from 1-60 in. OD.

Stacked Motor Bearings Accommodate Virtually Any Axial Load

A new, patented, load equalizing thrust bearing that can be stacked to accommodate virtually any axial load in diametrically limited spaces is being introduced by RIDE Technologies of West Greenwich, Rhode Island.

RIDE Stacked Motor Bearings feature thrust elements with spring-mounted pads running against runners that can be stacked repeatedly to handle virtually any axial load within a diametrically limited envelope. Suitable for up- and down-thrust load applications, they are self-aligning, equalize the load, regardless of stack size, and are well suited for highly abrasive service in oil, process fluids, or contaminated lubricants.

Fully qualified for mud-lubricated, down-hole directional drilling motors, RIDE Stacked Motor Bearings with ceramic pads are capable of 500 hrs. or more down-hole life. Available in sizes from 1" to 60" O.D., these stacked bearings can be equipped with pads made from polymer, bronze, hardened steal and other materials for standard applications.

RIDE Stacked Motor Bearings are priced according to configuration and quantity. Literature and price quotations are available upon request.
