Made of 17-4PH stainless steel, Model LCA600 features raised spherical surface to minimize possibility of off center loading, and removable ergonomic handle for carrying. High-capacity, canister type load cell measures 5 in. in diameter and 5/8 in. in height. Operating from 0-160°F, unit utilizes metal foil strain gauge technology and withstands chemically active and corrosive environments. It includes removable connector guard, mounting holes, and optional USB output.

FUTEK Introduces a New Canister/Column Type High Capacity Load Cell

FUTEK Advanced Sensor Technology, Inc. (FUTEK) has expanded their High Capacity Load Cell series by adding the LCA600 Load Cell to their product line. The LCA600 is now part of the FUTEK Load Cell series, expanding the high capacity load cell range. The LCA600 is offered from 100,000 lbs to 300,000 lbs. in capacity. For an even higher capacity range of up to 1million lbs. please see the LCA700 High Capacity Load Cell model. The LCA600 compression type Load Cell is most commonly used in calibration press type applications but can also be used in a wide variety of industries.
High capacity load cells are used in multiple applications and industries. A few examples of high capacity load cell applications are monitoring dynamic as well as earthquake induced loads. They may also be used for bridge static and bridge testing, setting up rolling loads at steel mills and monitoring foundation loads at power plants. High capacity load cells find use in many areas such as Bridge/Infrastructure, Power Generation, Transportation, Aerospace, Construction, Steel, and the Marine Industries. Canister Load cells are most commonly used in single and multi-weighing applications where large capacity is required.
The LCA600 17-4PH Stainless Steel with a raised spherical surface used to lower the possibility of off center loading, comes equipped with a removable "ergonomic" handle for easy carrying. FUTEK high capacity load cells are designed to be compact, small and light in relation to their capacity. The sizes of the LCA - high capacity models range from 5 inches in diameter by 5/8 of an inch in height. This particular model comes with a removable connector guard, mounting holes on the bottom for mounting, and is offered with an optional flat load plate accessory. Another feature offered with FUTEK's LCA600 High Capacity Load Cell is the USB Output option.
FUTEK high capacity load cells are made to withstand the rigors of challenging environments. These units are designed to operate in a wide temperature range of 0 to 160°F. Service in chemically active and corrosive environments is also possible. FUTEK's Canister (LCA) Series are manufactured in US, and similar to our entire Load Cell product line, use metal foil strain gauge technology.
