Protecta Introduces Their New Compact and Cost Effective Load Arrestor

Designed to protect valuable equipment, machinery and personnel!

14th December, 2006
PROTECTA, the world's leading manufacturer solely dedicated in providing the best in fundamental fall protection has announced the launch of their NEW Load Arrestor.

PROTECTA's new Load Arrestor model number AD412/300 has been modelled on the popular compact, lightweight and durable JRG range of self retracting lifelines. The Load Arrestor has been engineered as a back up safety device to completely stop a dropping load (material loads only, not personnel) if it breaks free from the main support line.

"This is the ideal product for smaller applications up to 300 kg", says Angela Gill, Product Manager for Capital Safety in Australia and New Zealand. "The Load Arrestor is ideal for building, construction and factories where heavy parts have to be handled and secured, and where traditional Load Arrestors are just too expensive and oversized. The unit has proved extremely popular with car manufacturers and construction sites throughout Europe".

Used in conjunction with lifting equipment such as cranes and hoists, the Load Arrestor provides independent protection that will arrest the fall of a load in the event of the primary system failing. Being completely independent of the primary lifting system, it reduces the risk of equipment damage and safely protects personnel in and around the danger zone. The unit is easy to install and operate and is fully serviceable.
