January 11, 2002 - Coin-type lithium primary cells exhibit uniform discharge voltage and retain 90% of their capacity after 10 yrs. They have 3V energy density, provide from 35 to 560 mAhr capacity depending upon size and construction, and operate over -20° to 70° C temperature range. Cells are available in sizes from 4.8 to 24.5 mm dia. and 1.4 to 5.0 mm high with variety of contact configurations, including plastic housings for SMT or thru-hole mounting.

A full line of lithium coin type primary cells for use in medical devices, computer memory backup, and a host of other electronic equipment is being introduced by Generation Electronics, Inc. of Lowell, Massachusetts.
Generation Lithium Coin Cells feature 3 volts energy density in small packages that exhibit uniform discharge voltages and retain 90% of their capacity after 10 years. Providing from 35 mAHrs to 560 mAHrs capacity, depending upon size and construction, these high energy density lithium coin cells operate over a -20°C to +70°C temperature range.
Available with a variety of contact configurations, including plastic housings for SMT or thru-hole mounting, Generation Lithium Coin cells are UL recognized and manufactured by Sanyo in sizes from 4.8 mm to 24.5 mm dia. and from 1.4 mm to 5.0 mm high.
