New SKF® 'Magdrive' Linear Actuators Combine Power With Quiet Operation In Slender Package

New SKF® "MAGDRIVE" linear actuators combine power with quiet operation in a slender package ideally engineered for medical applications such as lifters and similar equipment. Their unique and efficient gear technology delivers high push force capabilities and significantly reduced noise levels. A robust design promotes long service life without requiring maintenance.

MAGDRIVE actuators are further suited for medical applications with their safety rating of 1.5 for stroke length up to 400mm; inclusion of safety nut and integrated limit switches in all standard versions; mechanical end stops on both directions; and protection class IP21 as standard (with IPX4 as an option). Their anodized aluminum housing is slim (62mm x 62mm), easy to clean, and can be color-customized.

MAGDRIVE linear actuators can deliver push force of 8000N, speeds ranging from 8mm to 15mm, and stroke from 100mm to 700mm. They secure simply and quickly with bolts at front and rear attachment points.

Options include an emergency lowering device, electrical anti-pinching protection, and specialized control units, among others. Custom actuators can be developed to satisfy particular application demands.
