Jr. Hydra-Stopper makes pressure taps and line stops on water and wastewater lines, ensuring fire protection and continued service. It temporarily blocks flow of water in pipes ranging in size from ¾-2 in. Rated to 100 psi, system is suited for cast iron, asbestos cement, steel pit cast, ductile iron, plastic, and copper pipe. It can also be used to add service connections, chemical injection points, lateral lines, and tank connections ranging from ¾-2½ in.

Severn Trent Services Introduces Jr. Hydra-Stopper Line Stopping System Hand-held Line Tapping and Stopping Kit Eliminates Water and Wastewater Distribution System Shutdown
Fort Washington, Pa. - March 31, 2005 - Shutdowns or pipe freezing for repairs, valve change outs and pressure testing of water and wastewater lines now can be eliminated with Severn Trent Services' new Jr. Hydra-Stopper line stopping system. The newest addition to the proven line tapping and stopping Hydra-Stop® family of products, Jr. Hydra-Stopper is used to make pressure taps and line stops on water and wastewater lines, ensuring fire protection and continued service.
The Jr. Hydra-Stopper system incorporates patented "stopper" technology to temporarily block the flow of water in pipes ranging in size from 3/4" to 2". Suitable for cast iron, asbestos cement, steel pit cast, ductile iron, plastic and copper pipe, Jr. Hydra-Stopper is rated to 100 PSI. Doubling as a line tapping machine, Jr. Hydra-Stopper can be used to add service connections, sampling stations, chemical injection points, corporation stops, lateral lines and tank connections ranging in size from 3/4" to 2 1/2".
Small enough for use by one person in any environment, including overhead pipe installations, Jr. Hydra-Stopper allows plumbers and mechanical contractors to safely add, repair and replace meter valves, curb stops, service lines, backflow preventers, water meters, fire sprinkler heads and small gate valves without system shutdowns.
