Line Driver Cables for CUI's AMT Modular Encoder

October 7, 2008

Tualatin, OR - CUI Inc introduces a new series of line driver cables specifically designed to be used with their AMT series of modular encoders. The AMT line driver cables have an on board line driver chip (model ST26C31BDR) that converts the normal TTL voltage output of the AMT encoder to a line driver output. This is a low cost alternative to acquire an encoder with line driver output. It also provides existing users of the standard TTL voltage output AMT the option of a line driver output, leading to increased usage volumes and lower overall cost. Line driver output encoders are ideal for use in many RF interference machinery applications.

The cables measure approximately 1 meter and have an operating temperature of -40 to +85°C. One end terminates in a 5 conductor 24 AWG connector and the other end terminates in an 8 conductor 24 AWG shielded round twisted pair leads with stripped and tinned ends. The CUI-102E-10 cable is compatible with the AMT102-V (radial) encoder and the CUI-103E-10 cable is designed for the AMT103-V (axial) encoder. Both the CUI-102E-10 and CUI-103E-10 are available through Digi-Key now and start at $5.53 for 100 piece quantities.

For OEM quantity pricing please contact CUI directly.
