New 2,000-Lb. Capacity Lift/Tilt Table for Tow Line Installations Introduced by Pentalift
June 2004 - Pentalift Equipment Corporation, Buffalo, NY introduces its new "Tow Line" Lift/Tilt Table for use in assembly line applications to provide workers with ergonomically-sound lifting and positioning assistance.
According to Pentalift, the first installation of the new design, consisting of 25 units, has been completed at a major manufacturer of off-highway agricultural equipment. The frame of the vehicle is positioned on the moveable lift table at the start of the assembly line. As the unit moves down the production line the table's height can be raised and lowered to make it easier for workers to install wheels, fenders, engine and other top-side components. Then the entire table is tilted 35 degrees in either direction to facilitate undercarriage assembly.
The manufacturer states that its new "Tow Line" model offers the following performance features:
o 2,000-lb. load capacity and a lifting capability from a 24" closed height to a 36" lift height;
o 35-degree, dual direction tilt top;
o four heavy-duty, swivel casters for ease of travel on the tow line;
o accordion bellows on lifting mechanism to protect workers from pinch points and minimize debris entry under the lift table;
o on-board 12V motor, automatic charger, gell battery and battery discharge indicator;
o foot-pedal controls to operate both lift and tilt movements;
o disengage mechanism with a safety bar for tow line disconnect;
o and the exclusive Pentaflow Hydraulic Cylinder, which is completely sealed, with all components continuously lubricated with fresh oil.
