They are mounted in compact metal housings, with focal lengths from 10 mm to 45 m, speeds from f/1.5 to f/8, and color-corrected wavelengths from 400 Nm to 1000 Nm. Lenses have fixed or variable iris diaphragms, with manual lockable or click-stop adjustment.

Docter Optics has recently introduced a new, nearly distortion free performance line of CCD and CCTV lenses that are designed for various 1/3", 1/2", 2/3" and 1" image formats. The lenses are of 3, 6 or 7-glass element designs, mounted in compact, durably constructed metal housings, with focal lengths from 10mm to 45mm, speeds from f/1.5 to f/8 and color corrected for wavelengths from 400nm to 1000nm. The lenses have fixed or variable iris diaphragms, with manual lockable or click stop adjustment. Accessory extension tubes are also available for magnification adjustment. Applications include controlling product manufacturing, assembly and QA inspection areas, for research work observation, traffic surveillance and
building security.
