Foam in Place Gaskets Improve Quality and Productivity

Middletown, PA, 5 April 2004 -- EMKA Incorporated, a world-wide manufacturer and distributor of hardware and accessories for industrial enclosures, introduces Latches and Handles with Foam-in-Place gaskets.

For quarter turn latches and swing handles on NEMA 4 enclosures there is no separate gasket to lose or forget. Better sealing comes from a wider, more compliant, UL® polyurethane foam gasket.

Productivity is increased by eliminating the fiddly job of correctly aligning a flimsy rubber gasket. Quality is improved by eliminating the possibility of damage to, or omission of the gasket.

The UL listed, urethane gasket material has excellent resistance to oil, water, ozone and general weathering in addition to many other chemicals.

All of EMKA’s swing handles and almost all zinc, stainless, and GR nylon quarter turn latches are now available with F-i-P gaskets.

EMKA’s full Smart Hardware line of enclosure hardware, designed to make assembly quick, easy and repeatable, includes:
· Handles
· Locking systems including master keying
· Single and multi-point latches
· Hinges
· Gasketing
· EMI shielding materials

For more information, and to request EMKA’s full line brochure, please contact John Bates, EMKA Incorporated, 1961 Fulling Mill Road, Middletown, PA 17057.
