Made To Measure - Everywhere - Hilti PD 40 and 42 Laser Range Meters

TULSA, Okla. - May 24, 2007 - Ideal for a variety of measuring applications, the easy-to-use Hilti PD 40 and 42 Laser Range Meters provide accurate, reliable measurements at the press of a button. The first laser range meters available with a pinpoint accuracy of ± 1/25 inch, the PD 40 and 42 can measure distances from two inches to up to 650 feet.

Working from a single location, the PD 40 and 42 enable one person to take highly accurate measurements - even in hard-to-reach areas. The laser range meters also simplify the measurement of areas and volumes, including at longer distances or in vertical applications, which results in more efficient and accurate job estimates. The optional extension stick makes measuring even more comfortable and stable to get the most accurate readings out of your laser range meter.

With more memory and functions than other meters, the PD 40 and 42 can add and subtract distances, as well as areas and volumes. With new optics and signal processing, the PD 40 and 42 measure faster and further than other meters, even outdoors in bright light conditions due to Hilti's innovative development in the laser range meter technology.

The PD 42 stores the last 30 distance measurements or the last five function results. The range meter features area (square footage), volume (cubic feet), minimum/maximum, painter's area, sets out distances, timer function, and Pythagorean functions, as well as a vertical and horizontal bubble level and a side measuring key. The built-in optical sight is a targeting aid ideal in bright outdoor conditions where the laser dot is difficult to sight.

Designed to withstand tough jobsite conditions, the PD 40 and 42 are equipped with a rubber coating and durable housing. They are also ergonomic and convenient to handle.
