Laser Marking Technologies Introduces the New COBALT DOMINATOR Laser Marking System at IMTS 2010


Caro, MI . . . Laser Marking Technologies, LLC will introduce its new COBALT DOMINATOR laser marking system at IMTS - The International Manufacturing Technology Show 2010, being held at Chicago's McCormick Place September 13-18. Laser Marking Technologies can be found in Booth #N-6676 in the Abrasive Machining/Sawing/Finishing Pavilion which is located in the North Building.

The economical COBALT DOMINATOR laser marking and etching system features a European pulsed fiber laser source with increased depth of focus for fast, but very precise and clean permanent part marking. The pulsed fiber laser source can result in cost savings on power consumption over 300 percent compared to YAG. In addition, no chiller is required and there is no routine maintenance.

The compact portable table top unit requires minimal shop floor space with a machine foot print of 24"W x 28"D x 26.5"H. The system features a 160 FL lens (field size 4.33" x 4.33"), a 160 FL lens max work piece: 5"H x 12" W x 20"L, 10 watt laser power supplied by a Ytterbium pulsed fiber laser, a proprietary LMT digital scan head, kHz: 0-100 kHz, wavelength of 1064 nm. The electrical requirements is 110 volts (15 amps).

The COBALT DOMINATOR laser marking system includes a PC, software and an instructional PDF. No on-site training is needed.

Laser Marking Technologies provides a 2 year warranty on the laser source and offers a 24/7 toll free technical support hotline for first year of ownership.

Options include a 100 FL Lens (field size 2.15" x 2.15"), a 100 FL lens max work piece: 7.25"H x 12"W x 20"L, a 254 FL lens (field size 6.89" X 6.89"), a 254 FL lens max work piece: 1.375"H x 12"W x 20"L, a fume/dust extractor (HEPA filtration), a mobile work station, and a 3-5 year warranty on the laser source,.

Great Value

With the price at under 20K this is about half of any other laser and the quality and ease of use are outstanding.
