Laselec, a Specialist in UV Laser Cable Marking Machines, Guarantees Cable Identification for Demanding Industries

The French company Laselec designs and manufactures cable marking machines that feature a simple, efficient and reliable design based on the firm's proven laser technology. Laselec now produces two lines of Ultra Violet laser cable marking machines: the ULYS(tm) and the all new MRO 200.

As opposed to inkjet marking that can be erased, UV laser cable marking is completely indelible. Contrary to hot stamping, this process does not harm the insulation and withstands all solvent, friction and other aggressions.

These benefits are particularly appreciated on the aeronautical cable market for identification and traceability requirements. Laselec's cable marking systems are used in the major civil and military product ranges of the leading manufacturers including AgustaWestland, Airbus, ATR, Boeing, Dassault, Embraer, Eurocopter, Pilatus, Sogerma, and T.A.I as well as by their main subcontractors. High productivity level, flexibility, and simplicity of use also make these systems the ideal solution for numerous high-tech applications in the railway, automotive, space, and defense industries.

The MRO 200 series is aimed at small volume production runs and is thus complementary to the ULYS(tm) line of wire and cable marking equipment for medium and high volume production runs. The MRO 200 meets the requirements of aircraft maintenance, repair and modification facilities. It can also be used in addition to cable production, in facilities seeking to adopt a safe and innovative marking technology.

Laselec guarantees end-to-end expertise by designing and manufacturing both the frequency tripled Nd-YAG laser used in its UV laser marking machines as well as the cable management unit. It also develops its own machine control software. This means that the company has complete control over its products, and can deliver an off-the-shelf system, customized hardware, software and optics to meet customers' specific requirements.

Laselec's ULYS(tm) products are available worldwide via a distributor network. The opening of an office in the United States is planned for April 22, 2003. Laselec will be exhibiting its ULYS* and MRO 200 series at the Maintenance, Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Conference and Exhibition to be held at the Broward Convention Center in Fort Lauderdale, April 15-17, 2003 and can be found at Booth 1101. The company will also be present at the Le Bourget Air Show in June 2003 (Booth G-36, Hall 5, "Aerospace Valley" Pavilion).
