Bosch Continues Investment in Laser Distance Measuring with the Introduction of the GLR225

New GLR225 offers legendary Bosch precision and unparalleled performance

Mount Prospect, Ill. - Bosch Measuring Tools today introduced the latest addition to its award-winning line of laser measuring tools. The new Bosch GLR225 laser distance measurer delivers versatility and best-in-class accuracy in a package small enough to fit in a pocket or tool pouch. Able to perform a wide variety of distance measuring tasks, the GLR225 is ideal for builders, remodelers, project estimators, appraisers, architects, flooring contractors, interior decorators, plumbers, electricians, HVAC contractors, real estate agents and more.

Bosch's GLR225 offers the longest range and best accuracy in its class, with a range of up to 230 feet and an accuracy of 0.06 in. at 33 ft. The 230-foot range will satisfy most interior and exterior applications. For added versatility, the GLR225 gives users the flexibility of measuring from four distinct reference points - from the front or back of the laser, from a 1/16" threaded tripod mount or from a swing-out extension pin, which is ideal for measuring from corners or inside channels.

Key to the GLR225's usefulness in a variety of applications is its ability to calculate measurements in seven different modes - length, area, volume, minimum/maximum, continuous, indirect length and multi-surface area measurements. The minimum/maximum mode allows users to determine the minimum and maximum distance from a fixed reference point. In continuous measurement mode, the GLR225 automatically adjusts measurements while the user is walking off distances, ideal for project estimating applications. The unique indirect length mode allows the user to calculate inaccessible distances that cannot be measured directly (due to an obstruction of lack of reflecting surface) using the Pythagorean theorem. Finally, the multi-surface area mode calculates the total area of several individual surfaces with a common length or height. Even after measurements have been calculated, the GLR225 offers further versatility with its ability to show results in inches, feet/inches, decimal feet and metric.

With focus on time savings and efficiency, users of all types will greatly benefit from the accuracy and versatility the GLR225 offers.

Bosch's GLR225 comes complete with a soft belt-loop case, a hand strap and four AAA batteries. Optional accessories include Laser View-Enhancing Glasses (DLA001) and a Laser View-Enhancing Target (DLA002). The GLR225 will be available this June through authorized Bosch distributors nationwide.
