MKII offers Speed and Versatility

SCHAUMBURG, IL – Mazak’s MK II is one of the most versatile laser cutting systems on the market, offering a choice of resonators and a wide range of material handling options, including the new CMS. These features enable the MK II to perform high-speed laser production on a diverse array of material types and thicknesses.

By offering a choice of three resonators, the MK II allows fabricators to select the resonator power most efficient for their business. The engineered 4000-watt resonator enables high-speed feed rates and the ability to cut mild steel up to 1" thick. 1500-watt and 2500-watt resonators are also available, allowing fabricators who cut thinner gauges to benefit from lower energy and running costs.

The MK II is available with a wide range of material handling options, from a simple pallet shuttle thru Mazak’s new Laser CMS, (Cyber Manufacturing System). Beyond the Laser FMS, the CMS includes many new advances in unattended material handling, including part sorting.

The NC programmable torch allows automatic setup of cut conditions for virtually any material type, and the modular cutting head allows quick lens changes without time-consuming re-focusing. An expanded set of subprograms optimizes ramping and piercing speeds for a wide range of materials. The system programs easily either on the machine or downloaded to the proven CNC system.

The MK II, available with a 4' x 8', 5' x 10' or 6' x 12' bed, is part of a broad line of CO² laser cutting machines and automated material handling equipment designed for the efficient production processing of sheetmetal and plate as well as preformed sheetmetal and pipe. This line is offered in the U.S. by Mazak Nissho Iwai.
