October 10, 2003 - SolarJet S 3.0 Vector Laser Coder produces high-resolution text, bar codes, and graphic images as small as 0.020 in. high on variety of package substrates. Thirty watt system can mark up to 1,000 characters/sec at delivery speeds up to 1,060 fpm. Through selection of 5 different lenses, unit can mark ares from 2.0–7.8 in. square. SolarJet S comes with controller and built-in 8.5 in. display, plus FlyMark software for message creation.

New High-Resolution Laser Coder Provides Marking at Very High Production Speeds
Arlington Heights, IL—Weber Marking Systems, Inc., introduces its high-speed SolarJet S 3.0 vector laser coder, a unit that produces high-resolution text, bar codes and graphic images as small as 0.020” high on a wide variety of product and package substrates.
The 30-watt system is capable of marking up to 1,000 characters per second at product delivery speeds up to 1,060 feet per minute. Through the use of a selection of five different lenses, the versatile SolarJet S makes it possible to mark areas from 2.0” to 7.8” square.
An adjustable marking head permits the system to satisfy applications in industries as diverse as food, pharmaceutical, personal care, beverage, and many others. Utilizing the latest in CO2 laser technology, the unit is virtually maintenance-free and eliminates the need to purchase consumable fluids.
The SolarJet S comes with its own controller and built-in 8.5” high-contrast display, plus exclusive FlyMark software that eases message creation. Numerous options – including a chiller and fume/dust extractor – ensure that the system can fit into nearly any packaging or handling line.
