February 5, 2009 - Operating at face velocities from 60-100 fpm, Protector XStream Hoods overcome airflow's tendencies for turbulence. Aerodynamic design of sash handle, air foil, upper dilution air supply, and rear downflow baffle work to produce horizontal airflow patterns that minimize concentrations of chemical contaminants throughout work area. Hoods include chemical-resistant, molded composite panel liner; 3/16 in. tempered safety glass, vertical rising sash; and ADA-compliant light and blow switches.

Protector XStream Laboratory Hood

Protector XStream Laboratory Hood offers unsurpassed containment of chemical fumes and vapors while conserving energy

Protector XStream Laboratory Hoods overcome airflow's tendencies for turbulence. The innovative and aerodynamic designs of the sash handle, air foil, upper dilution air supply and rear downflow baffle work in concert to produce horizontal airflow patterns that significantly reduce concentrations of chemical contaminants throughout the work area, particularly near the face of the hood, operator breathing zone and at the work surface.
Because containment is enhanced, the Protector XStream Hood can operate at a broad range of face velocities from 60 to 100 fpm. When operated at OSHA-approved 60 fpm face velocity, the energy savings realized provide an excellent economic payback.

Protector XStream Laboratory Hoods are a by-pass airflow design with a patented Rear Downflow Dual Baffle System, aerodynamic air foil with Clean-Sweep openings, and chemical-resistant molded composite panel liner. The 3/16" thick tempered safety glass vertical-rising sash has a containment-enhancing perforated sash handle. Other features include ADA-compliant light and blower switches, sash stop at 18" sash height, and front and interior access panels.
