Union Process Redesigns Cryogenic Cover for 1-S Lab Attritor

Akron, Ohio - Union Process, Inc., known globally as a manufacturer of size reduction and dispersing equipment for research and industrial applications, has introduced a new cryogenic cover for its 1-S Lab Attritor to facilitate easier flow of liquid nitrogen into the grinding chamber.

With more people exploring size reduction at super low temperatures in an attempt to achieve better results, Union Process saw a need to improve the process. This special cover fits both the 1.5 and 2.5-gallon models of the 1-S Laboratory Attritor. For cryogenic grinding, Union Process uses a stainless steel tank with a stainless steel jacket. For customers who already own a 1-S but now have a need for cryogenic grinding, the special cover and tanks can be retrofitted on to any existing 1-S Attritor.

A versatile, reliable and rugged mill, the 1-S Attritor is designed to meet virtually any lab grinding and dispersing need - wet or dry. An advantage of the 1-S is that results can be scaled up to production-sized equipment with reproducible results from batch to batch. The 1-S is also available with a broad selection of accessories including tank options, agitator arms, covers, bottom valves and more.

For more information on the new cryogenic cover, the 1-S Lab Attritor, other grinding equipment, grinding media, lab services, refurbishing or reconditioning of Attritors, and custom toll processing, contact Union Process or visit www.unionprocess.com.

Union Process is the inventor and developer of Attritor technology and manufactures wet and dry grinding mills as well as small media mills.
