Offered as contract service, FlowCAM® Particle Analysis Lab Testing Service permits use of FlowCAM particle imaging and analysis system capabilities prior to purchasing instrumentation. Technical consultation assesses product/sample and verifies any target particles or cells meet range of instrumentation. This is followed by development of analysis specifications, running sample, and revealing results (on CD or posted privately on Web). Method development/filter development are also available.

New Service Provides Hi-Res Particle/Cell Images Online With Entire Run Data Set
Yarmouth, ME: Particle vision instrumentation manufacturer Fluid Imaging Technologies, Yarmouth, Maine (www.fluidimaging.com) has introduced FlowCAM® Particle Analysis Lab Testing Services. Devised to permit the use of the FlowCAM particle imaging and analysis system prior to purchasing the instrumentation, the new Particle Analysis Lab Testing Services enables research scientists, process engineers and others involved in product development, manufacture and quality assurance to gain access to the system's complete array of patented imaging and analysis capabilities as a contract service. The FlowCAM automatically takes high resolution, full color digital images of particles and cells in a sample and saves them in real time with their corresponding sets of measurements such as size, shape, perimeter, elongation and dozens of others for immediate review and collaborative analysis. The U.S. EPA, Welch's and the Massachusetts Water Resources Authority are among the hundreds of organizations using the system.
The FlowCAM Particle Analysis Lab Testing Services features a free technical consultation to assess the product or sample and verify any target particles or cells meet the considerable range of the instrumentation. This is followed by the development of analysis specifications, running the sample and revealing the results. Available on CD or posted privately on the Web, the test results include every image taken along with their measurement data organized in a choice of histograms and scatterplots setup in a simple spreadsheet or detailed laboratory report format as needed. Method development, including establishing sample dilution and magnification requirements, and filter development such as devising statistical pattern recognition filters are also available along with a range of custom analysis services.
