ACCES I/O Products Inc., Introduces Its Newly Designed LVDT Signal Conditioner Board, Model LVDT- 8A

SAN DIEGO, Calif.-June 12, 2007-ACCES I/O Products Inc ., introduces its newly designed LVDT signal conditioner board, Model LVDT-8A. This user-friendly board offers any position measurement requirement a simple, accurate, and easy-to-use solution at a great price. Eight channels of signal conditioning on one board results in a price per channel of under $100. The elimination of multiplexer circuitry on the board provides enhanced capability of simultaneous outputs that directly correspond to the sensed positions in a real-time environment. Removable screw-terminal blocks are used on the LVDT-8A board to allow convenient connection to linear variable differential transformers (LVDTs) through screw terminals. Use of five on-board LEDs verifies the full voltage range of the LVDT providing validation of functionality and input circuit connection. ACCES has designed the LVDT-8A to be the ideal signal conditioner for use in factory automation environments such as automotive, machining, inspection, weighing and process control.

The board is packaged in a rugged industrial enclosure that offers physical protection and features a DIN rail-mounting provision for industrial environments. Accessories include an assortment of 37-pin ribbon cables for connecting the conditioned outputs to a variety of readily available analog-to-digital converter products. ACCES offers a broad range of A/D products using USB, RS-485, PCI, PC/104, Ethernet, 900MHz/2.4GHz wireless and even ISA bus types.

Key features include:

o Eight channels of AC LVDT conditioning
o Removable screw-terminal blocks for easy connection and serviceability
o Use easily with PLC or PC-based data acquisition systems
o Real-time, simultaneous outputs
o Compatible with other ACCES A/D products for legacy systems using DB37M
o LED display utility for quick and easy verification of connected LVDTs
o Factory-set oscillator frequency per channel from 20Hz to 20KHz
o ±10VDC or ±5VDC outputs including wide range calibration pots
o Excellent temperature stability
o Operates on 24VDC power, factory options for 12VDC, ±12VDC or 48VDC
o Reverse input power protection to eliminate misconnection worries
o Includes rugged, industrial enclosure for physical protection and mounting
o DIN rail-mounting provision

No software is necessary to start using the LVDT-8A. It can be utilized right out of the box. A user friendly setup program and user manual is included with each shipment. The setup program can be used to help with the selection of application-specific options and the user manual contains full details on the board's operation.

ACCES I/O Products, Inc. supplies an extensive range of analog, digital, serial communication, and isolated I/O boards and solutions. ACCES also offers complete systems, integration services and enclosures with a quick turn-around on custom projects including software. ACCES products are designed for use with PC/104, PCI, PCI-X, Low Profile PCI, EBX, ETX, EPIC, USB, Ethernet and ISA, as well as distributed and wireless I/O.
