Ultra Compact PG1112C Wide Angle LED Offers Low Board Seated Height

Irvine, CA – April 04, 2003 – With a seated height of about only 0.5 mm above the circuit board, the ultra compact PG1112C LED from Stanley Electric features a super thin design in an industry standard surface mount 1608 (0603) package that makes it ideal for high density designs in switches, key pads and indicators.
With a wide viewing angle of up to 150 degrees, the PG1112C LED offers excellent lighting ergonomic characteristics. It is suitable for applications in appliances, automotive aftermarket accessories, medical devices, cell phones, pagers, instrumentation and more.
The PG1112C LED is designed with a GaP die and is a green package. It features a luminous intensity of up to 7.6 mcd (If=20mA) in a milky-white type lens. It is also an excellent choice for backlighting applications.
Designed for variable operating environments, the PG1112C LED withstands operating temperatures that range from –40°C to +85°C. Other key specifications include: 70 mW power dissipation, 25 mA forward current, 60 mA peak forward current, and 4 V reverse voltage. Derating is from 0.36 (DC) 0.86 (pulse) mA/°C.
The PG1112C LED is compatible with today’s automated assembly and soldering techniques. It comes in tape-and-reel packaging suitable for high-speed pick-and-place equipment. Both reflow and dip soldering equipment can be used with the PG1112C LED.
The PG1112C LED is priced beginning at $0.044 each in quantities of 100 pieces or less. The 1112C LED Series also is available in other colors that include: red, yellow, orange and green.
