Press release date: November 15, 2012

Larson Electronics LLC announced the addition of an explosion proof LED string light, offering long bulb life, extreme durability and little heat output for operators in confined spaces.  The EPL-SL-10-LED one hundred watt, explosion proof string light is designed for operators needing to illuminate long hazardous areas like tunnels.

Larson Electronics LLC has begun shipping the EPL-SL-10-LED explosion proof string light with 10 LED hand lamps.  This Class 1 and Class 2 Division 1 rated LED string light offers more light than a comparable stringer equipped with 100 watt incandescent bulbs.  Other benefits of this explosion proof LED string light includes long bulb life of 50,000 hours or more, little or no bulb breakage and little or no heat output.

“Our new EPL-SL-10-LED explosion proof LED string light for hazardous rated areas features ten 10 watt LED bulbs within Class 1 and 2 Division 1 and 2 hand lamps, linked together over 100 feet,” said Rob Bresnahan with Larson Electronics’ Magnalight.com.  “This explosion proof string light outperforms incandescent models in illumination while eliminating bulbs changes due to breakage and failure.  Ultimately, these innovations should make the operator more productive.”

Larson Electronics manufacturs a wide variety of explosion proof lighting for hazardous rated areas, including string lights, pedestal mount lighting and cart based lighting systems.   You can learn more about Larson Electronics at Magnalight.com or contact 1-800-369-6671 or sales@magnalight.com.
