4-W LED Spotlight Replaces MR16 Halogens

LED light producer Alliance Optotek Corp. presents the new 4-W LED spotlight for MR16 halogen bulb replacement. Consuming only 4 W of power (3 x 1-W LED) the 50-mm diameter lamp achieves high illuminance levels of approximately 130 lux at 1 m from ceiling.

Optotek´s energy-saving and environment friendly MR16 LED light has expected lifetime of 50,000 hours (depending on ambient conditions), which dramatically reduces maintenance costs of short-lasting halogen bulbs with average rated life of 2,000 hours.

The high-brightness 4-W lamp implements a constant current by switching power converter system designed to maintain the LED input current constant, which effectively ensures LED operation and lifetime.

In addition, the UV and IR-free lighting device generates no heat into the environment and its cool light reduces air conditioning costs and avoids the uncomfortable heat generated by halogens.

The 4-W spotlight (with a light beam angle of 60º) features stylish aluminum finishes and is offered in GUX5.3, GU10, and E27 formats fitting perfectly in existing MR16 setups.

Optotek´s LED downlight, available in 3300K and 5500K color temperatures, can replace low-wattage MR16 halogens in several indoor lighting applications such as elevator cabins, shop windows, shelves, and reception counters, among many others.
