MaxLite Adds Wide Open Optics to LED Flood and Area Lights

West Caldwell, New Jersey – Continuing to expand the capabilities of its LED outdoor fixtures, MaxLite® has added an option for Wider Type 5 Optics to its lines of LED Flood and Area Lights, to increase the spacing distribution of light in desired areas.
The new Wide Type 5 Optics of the MaxLED® series of LED Area Lights will continue to provide full cutoff optics but deliver a wider light distribution that permits greater flexibility in design distances between poles.
The new optics enable Flood Lights to jump to a 7’x7’ NEMA light distribution (130-degree beam spread) from the current 5’x5’ NEMA 5 distribution (100-degree beam spread) on standard fixtures, providing a wider light distribution pattern.
The outdoor fixtures are designed as efficient, energy-saving 70-, 100- and 140-watt replacements for 250-, 320- and 400-watt metal halide and high-pressure sodium lighting fixtures on electrical systems ranging from 120 to 277 volts. These fixtures are pending DesignLights™ Consortium certification.
