Highlites Introduces New Line of LED Exit Signs Said to Last 25 Years

New Product: ZBLED — Super long-life, low watt LED Exit Sign Series.

Design: Highlites, Inc. In-House Product Design and Engineering Team

Manufacturer: Highlites, Inc. — a division of the JJI Lighting Group, Inc.

Product Applications: ZBLED super long-life, highly-energy-efficient exit signs clearly, reliably, economically mark building exits for commercial, institutional and industrial environments, including schools and colleges, shopping malls, and public and private office buildings, healthcare facilities, plants and warehouses.

Product Description; ZBLED exit signs consume only 4 watts of electricity. They employ a unique indirect illumination system. High-intensity low-watt LED's are not visible from looking at the stencil cutout, yet the sign provides exceptional contrast and clarity, compared to traditional exit signs. ZBLED exit signs are available in standard AC wired or with self-powered battery backup. Self-powered models have a nickel cadmium battery that allows continuous operation for ninety minutes or more in the event of a power outage. A solid-state, temperature-compensating, "constant current" charger automatically recharges the battery once normal utility power resumes.

Both AC and self-powered XBLED exits are universal design and can be wall-, end-, or ceiling-mounted for maximum versatility. A canopy and second-face provided with the unit quickly convert ZBLED into a double-faced exit sign.

The ZBLED exit signs are ETL listed to UL 924 standards, meet NFPA Life-Safety Code 101, NEC, OSHA, all state and local electrical codes.

Construction & Finishes: ZBLED exit signs are constructed from premium cast aluminum with heavy die-cast aluminum stencil facings that can be specified with a black housing and brushed aluminum face, in all black or all white models.

Illumination is provided by high-output red or green LED's with a 25-year operating life. Optional wire guards or polycarbonate shields may also be specified. All ZBLED exits carry a three-year warranty from date of shipment. Batteries in self-powered models carry an additional prorated seven-year warranty.
