AdderView PRO Offers Total Dual Link DVI Flexibility for Multi-Head Systems

New Switch Ideal for Media and Medical Imaging

CAMBRIDGE, UK - Aug. 18, 2009 - Adder, a leading developer of KVM switches, extenders and KVM over IP solutions, today announced the AdderView PRO MultiScreen. The AdderView PRO MultiScreen range of professional grade keyboard, video, mouse and audio (KVMA) switches include separate models that support dual, triple or quad video heads per channel. The family of switches enables users to share high resolution screens and USB peripherals between multiple computers.

"The AdderView PRO MultiScreen series allows up to four DVI-I heads per computer to be switched," said Nigel Dickens, engineering director of Adder. "Thanks to our high quality, efficient switching technology, each video head can support four full dual link digital video displays. We recognized a growing need in professional applications such as medical imaging and broadcast for uncompromised multi head DVI switches which could be used alongside specialist interface devices such as graphics tablets, 3D explorers, joysticks, and so on. The AdderView PRO MultiScreen answers this call."

In addition to the impressive video performance, these units offer more than just straight switching between four systems. The KVM, speakers and two separate USB devices attached to the AdderView PRO units can either be switched in unison, as normal, or you can mix your peripherals between any of the systems to suit your current tasks. For instance, you could be creating emails on one system, listening to a soundtrack from another while a third is sending documents to your printer and a fourth performing another task with a different USB peripheral.

In environments such as medical imaging, the AdderView PRO MultiScreen series will allow medical imaging displays to be shared across multiple computer systems, therefore eliminating the need for multiple high resolution displays.

The AdderView Pro MultiScreen series features Extended Display Identification Data (EDID) Emulation and advanced profile DDC ensuring that separate EDID data from each video display will be distributed through to the appropriate video adaptors within each computer. The extended DDC EDID profile ensures that the switched graphics card is always optimized to work with your screen.

The AdderView PRO MultiScreen series is available through local distribution partners worldwide.
