LaGrange, IL - Grayhill, Inc. today introduced the Series 04J, their toughest joystick with an integrated pushbutton on a single shaft. The 04J is designed and manufactured to meet mil-spec standards for mechanical shock and moisture seal, making it ideal for any application where vibration or contamination are a concern. This rugged and reliable joystick will survive in military vehicles, construction equipment and industrial controls such as on CNC machines.
Grayhill's Series 04J is a single-pole, 4-way toggle switch with a pushbutton switch in the center position. All switches are momentary contact with a self-return to center, where the contact is open. The standard knob is shaped and sized for easy operation with a single thumb or finger, allowing for both directional control and pushbutton select without requiring the user to remove their finger from the control. A cone shaped knob is also offered as an option.
The 04J is ideally suited for control panels where space is restricted. This compact joystick can provide cursor control where other pointing devices are impractical, such as on test and measurement equipment or medical electronics. Other applications include CNC positioning, industrial control or robotic control.
It delivers a dependable 250,000 cycles through all directions including pushbutton actuation. Grayhill's proven technology and quality systems ensure superior performance with minimized costs.
Two standard versions are available to provide for either behind-panel or above-panel mounting. Connection options for the 04J include PC mount or solder lugs. The standard version may be purchased in minimum orders of $500, with lower quantities available through Grayhill authorized distributors.
