Interlock System Adds a Measure of Safety
Accuride introduces Model 3641, a heavy-duty slide with a rod-based interlock system that allows only one drawer to open at a time. This feature helps prevent tipping of multi-drawer cabinets and offers a platform to integrate optional central- or gang-locking actuators to secure cabinet contents.
Model 3641 carries loads up to 180 pounds and drawers to 42-inches-wide. Rail-and-pocket style mounting brackets make it easy to disconnect drawers. This product is suitable for toolboxes, mobile carts, metal furniture, storage cabinets, lateral files, and other applications where the safety feature of the interlock would provide
benefit.
The interlock mechanism is located at the front of the slide. This provides easy access during installation. The cutto-length aluminum connecting rods allow for varying drawer heights within the same cabinet. When installed as a pair, the 3641 slides offer the increased strength of the interlock mechanism on both sides. For less demanding applications, Model 3641 may be paired with non-locking companion slide Model 3642. These products are available in lengths of 14"-28" (in 2" increments), and 17" [353-709 and 429 mm]. Finishes include clear zinc (C) and black (CB).
