Atkinson Dynamics Introduces Industrial-Duty Wireless Intercoms

UNIVERSITY PARK, IL - October 2002. Atkinson Dynamics has introduced a line of wireless industrial intercoms that allows users to set up, take down, and move around these heavy-duty intercoms with ease. The new intercom systems do away with the need for running audio lines between stations, making them ideal for temporary applications or for applications where cabling is not feasible. The intercoms operate on 120VAC power supplied locally to each station and they offer all of the same rugged design features Atkinson Dynamics standard intercoms are well known for.

Easily recognized by their ever-popular robust exterior, Atkinson Dynamics two-way intercoms are engineered and built for industrial duty and are typically found in applications where extreme weather, high noise, or harsh usage requirements are present. According to Atkinson Dynamics' Pat Wallis, "Our intercoms were originally developed to stand up to the tough physical demands found on commercial construction sites, but today Atkinson units are commonly specified for applications in offshore drilling rigs, refineries, textile plants, foundries, and chemical processing operations." Atkinson intercoms' solid-state technology, which is designed to withstand the vibration and rough usage encountered in industrial environments, is protected in a vandal-proof, corrosion-resistant cast aluminum housing sealed to keep out moisture and dust.

"Setting up an Atkinson system is easier than ever," Wallis says, "Just supply power to each station and you're up and running. The fast and efficient set-up now makes it possible to employ our rugged technology just about anywhere."
