June 29, 2005 - Intelligent Frequency Converters (IFCs) produce analog output signal that measures and calculates flow rate of turbine flow meter. Microprocessor-based units are offered with 4-20 mA (F to I) or 0-5 Vdc (F to V) output signal and designed for integration with Flo-tech F6700 and F6750 Series digital displays. In operation, units convert turbine meter pulse output into one of above frequency signals for further processing.

New Intelligent Frequency Converters (IFC) from Flo-tech


(Racine,WI June 2005) New Intelligent Frequency Converters from Flo-tech produce an analog output signal that measures and calculates the flow rate of a turbine flow meter. Two important benefits of the new converters are that they are extremely precise and are field programmable.

The converters are part of a line of "next generation" electronic interfaces available from the company that provide smooth integration with a wide variety of data acquisition devices such as PCs and PLCs.

Microprocessor based, the converters are offered with either a 4-20 mA (F to I) or 0-5 VDC (F to V) output signal and are designed for easy integration with Flo-tech F6700 and F6750 Series Digital Displays. In operation, the units convert the turbine meter pulse output into one of the above frequency signals for further processing.

When ordered from the factory with a Flo-tech turbine flow meter and digital display, the components are factory calibrated as a system. In addition, they are available as an upgrade option for any existing Flo-tech turbine flow meter.
