Integrating Spheres offer configuration flexibility.

Press Release Summary:

Modulus spheres are available in 24 designs with diameters from 1-6 in. Optimized geometries allow users to create test setups for applications such as LEDs, lasers, lamps, and uniform light sources. Standard 3P series has ports oriented along 3 orthogonal axes: 2 ports on equator at 0° and 90°, plus 1 port at top or north pole. Products in 4P series have additional port located opposite 0° port, and all spheres include baffle between 90° and 0° ports.

New Labsphere Modulus Integrating Spheres Increase Configuration Flexibility

NORTH SUTTON, NH - Labsphere, Inc. announces Modulus, a comprehensive line of integrating spheres that can be configured easily to meet a variety of specific application requirements. Twenty-four sphere designs are available in diameters ranging from 1-6". With optimized geometries, the user can create test setups for such applications as LEDs, lasers, lamps, and uniform light sources. The Modulus line provides an inexpensive and user-friendly solution, while still maintaining best-in-class and robust system design.

Modulus features rugged port frames, improved mounting hardware, and standard metric fasteners. Modulus spheres are available with either three or four ports. The three-port (3P) series spheres have ports oriented along three orthogonal axes: two ports on the equator of the sphere at 0° and 90°, plus a port located at the top or north pole of the sphere. The four-port (4P) series spheres have an additional port located opposite the 0° port. All spheres include a baffle between the 90° and 0° ports, which prevent direct exchange of radiation between them. Each port is equipped with a port frame designed to accept a variety of illuminator or detector assemblies, port reducers, or port plugs.
