Utilizing SD5® technology for optimal image quality, Camclosure 2 series offers choice of color, day/night, and Hi-Res, wide dynamic range CCD cameras. UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable capability, available in addition to standard, built-in coaxial option, facilitates installs while and extending cable distances. Connecting active receiver to passive transceiver with appropriate Cat cable allows as much as 4,000 ft of distance for installation.

Fast, Affordable UTP Now Available with Pelco Camclosure 2
Clovis, CA - Pelco by Schneider Electric is now offering UTP (unshielded twisted pair) cable capability exclusively to Camclosure 2 customers - in addition to the standard, built-in coaxial option. With UTP cabling, performance is achieved with significantly lower cable costs, easier installs and extended cable distances.
A balun was specifically created as a mating part to meet UTP video output demand for the Camclosure 2 family of integrated camera systems.
Increasingly, UTP is being used in video security systems, offering flexibility unmatched by traditional coaxial cables. Customers need just one balun part for each Camclosure 2 camera ordered, and may use any other Pelco UTP device as the receiver at the other end of the video security installation.
Connecting the Pelco active receiver to a passive transceiver with an appropriate Cat cable will allow as much as 4,000 feet of distance for the installation.
