Anvil Now Offers Klo-Shure® Insulation Couplings

PORTSMOUTH, NH, August 22, 2005 - Anvil International announces the addition of Klo-Shure® Insulation Couplings. Manufactured in Royal Oak, MI, these couplings will be marketed as an existing brand within the Anvil family of piping connections and support products.

Klo-Shure couplings are designed to reduce the cost of insulating HVAC/R copper lines for refrigeration, hot and cold water plumbing, and chilled water systems. The efficient design of the couplings reduces the time to install elastomeric insulation and eliminates the appearance of support point sagging, providing a dramatic improvement in the look of finished installations.

Klo-Shure Insulation Couplings are available in Clevis Hanger and Strut Mounted versions.

The Klo-Shure coupling supports tubing and secures insulation where clevis hangers are used.

A metal clip on this hanger provides a secure closing of the coupling. The Strut Mounted coupling supports and insulates tubing in strut mounted applications. This coupling is offered with clamp halves, a fastener and locknut, and a channel stop is required at the lower end when mounting vertically.

The coupling's copper tube is supported independently of the insulation without the use of adhesives, tape, and double wrap. These easy-to-install couplings are available to support 1/4" to 4-1/8" diameter copper tubing, and to secure 3/8" to 1" thick tubing insulation.
