Customer and industry-driven innovations enhance quality and productivity in newest version of industry-leading instrumentation solution
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. -- Intergraph has released SmartPlant(®) Instrumentation 2013, a major new version of its industry-leading instrument engineering solution that features additional capabilities driven by input from Intergraph customers. SmartPlant Instrumentation 2013 reinforces Intergraph's commitment to offering proven, best-of-class solutions to address the business drivers of today and tomorrow.
The latest release of SmartPlant Instrumentation makes a step change with the addition of powerful capabilities that boost productivity and improve quality for engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) and owner operator companies. This enhanced version of SmartPlant Instrumentation further widens the gap over other instrument design solutions on the market.
SmartPlant Instrumentation 2013 includes several innovations to address business challenges:
--Â Integration is one of the primary benefits gained from using SmartPlant Instrumentation and the latest release significantly improves the To-Do List with intuitive user controls and management tools. The To-Do List facilitates inter-discipline communication between different engineering tasks and SmartPlant Instrumentation 2013 features new task types such as Marked for Deletion, Overwrite and Regenerate the To-Do List that dramatically improve performance.
-- Separated access rights for Instrument Index supporting tables are now available, streamlining control and management of data ownership. Now, defined user profiles can work on multiple projects with unique project settings, without changing profiles.
--Â Clients can add custom Unit of Measures (UoM) using the 2013 version. Users now are able to define custom units of measure types that provide flexibility to meet local project requirements.
--Â Standards support has been updated, including the latest editions of ISO-5167 - 2003 STD for flow meters and ASME PTC 19.3 TW-2010 for thermo well calculations.
