Sandvik Coromant Introduces New CoroMill 300 Insert Geometry

Precision ground E-xL geometry excels in machining titanium and stainless steel

Fair Lawn, New Jersey, November 17, 2006 - Sandvik Coromant has released the E-xL line of inserts, a new precision ground geometry for use with the CoroMill 300 line of cutting tools. This insert allows for excellent cutting in titanium and stainless steel and its light cutting action provides outstanding performance with high productivity.

The E-xL features a 10° cutting rake angle with a 0.008" land. The insert lowers cutting forces to reduce vibration in unstable conditions and achieves excellent cutting speeds in difficult to machine materials.

The CoroMill 300 is a versatile and valuable basic tool for applications requiring high performance profiling and contouring. The tool's light cutting action results in smooth cutting in all materials. The design of the tool itself facilitates vibration-free metal removal with both short and long tools and power efficiency in both stable and weak machines.
