ZBGF-T Thrillers deep-hole machine aluminum and cast iron materials in thread depths of up to 3xD. ZBGF-H Thrillers machine hardened steels, stainless, inconel, and titanium from 36-60 Rc in thread depths up to 2xD.

Emuge Expands "Circular" Thriller Program to Allow Multi-Task Machining on a Broad Range of Materials
NORTHBOROUGH, MA (July 29, 2002) - The Emuge Corporation today announced the addition of two new thriller series, each designed to drill and thread in one machining pass. Based on the resounding success of their line of ZBGF- Type "W" Series Thrillers which easily machine soft metals, the addition of Type "T" and "H" ZBGF Series Thrillers now permit cutting in a wide range of harder materials up to 60Rc. Hard or exotic materials are becoming more prevalent in manufacturing.
The ZBGF Series are referred to as "circular" thrillers because the tools were designed to both drill and thread with unique interpolation capabilities. The interpolation is required to effectively function in machines that cut in a circular motion around the inside of the hole as the tool advances in the work.
The Thrillers are a solid micro-grain carbide substrate with unique cutting geometry and axial, through-the-tool coolant capability, precision engineered and manufactured to Emuge's very high quality standards. The combining effect of these features are significantly increased tool life, optimum chip removal and high performance cutting that results in improved quality and shorter cycle times. In addition, the ability to drill and thread in one pass, producing variable thread lengths, eliminates the need for multiple operations.
ZBGF-T Thrillers are specially designed to deep-hole machine aluminum and cast iron materials in thread depths of up to 3xD ( 3 times the major diameter of the thread). The ZBGF-H Thrillers are ideal for machining hard materials like hardened steels, stainless, inconel and titanium from 36 Rc to 60 Rc in thread depths up to 2xD.
All series are now in stock, available in a total of 56 different sizes for screw threads, providing a very extensive selection for users.
