June 5, 2009 - With 150, 200, and 800ºC temperature ranges, ETIS series is designed for demanding tire, brake, and exhaust temperature measurement in autosports. It has 1,000 G shock rating and is packaged in lightweight aluminum housing measuring 20 x 18 x 12 mm and weighing 26 g. Available with front facing M3 fixing holes and 1 m long shielded leads, unit operates in ambient temperatures between 0-120ºC with 30-70 mm measurement stand-off distance and target area of approximately 20 mm dia.

Infrared Temperature Sensors Suit Autosports Tyre Test and Other Demanding Applications


Towcester - UK - May 2009: Variohm EuroSensor has launched its new ETIS line of non-contact infrared temperature sensors with 150ºC, 200ºC and 800ºC temperature ranges. Designed for demanding tyre, brake and exhaust temperature measurement in autosports but suitable for a wide range of applications throughout industry, the ETIS series has a 1000 G shock rating and is packaged in a lightweight and durable aluminium housing measuring just 20 x 18 x 12 mm and weighing just 26 grams.

The ETIS series operate in ambient temperatures between 0 to 120ºC with a 30 to 70 mm measurement standoff distance and a target area of approximately 20 mm diameter. All operate from a 5 VDC supply and have a linear voltage output over the calibrated temperature range of between 0.5V and 4.5 V.

For simple and convenient mounting, front facing M3 fixing holes and 1 metre long shielded leads are supplied as standard.
