World's First 2-Stage Optimal Combustion Hi-Intensity Infra-Red Heater Lowers Energy Costs, Improves Comfort In Commercial, Industrial Recreational and Agricultural Buildings

Rochester, MI - Solaronics, Inc. kicks infra-red heater technology up a notch with its new SunTwin 2-Stage Hi-Intensity Series that lowers fuel costs and improves indoor comfort and air quality. By precisely matching air and gas proportions - also known as stoichiometric ratios - optimal combustion is achieved in both operating stages.

"Briefly described, stoichiometric ratio specifies an air and gas mixture is ideal when the amount of air provided is exactly 100% of the air theoretically required for combustion. All the fuel is consumed, leaving no trace of a burnable agent or residual oxygen," explains Tom Lester, Solaronics' sales & marketing vice president.

Optimal combustion is accomplished in SunTwin Series 2-Stage heaters by utilizing the company's new Stoichiometric Combustion System, claimed effective through the maximum of 200,000 BTUH. According to Lester, other heater manufacturers, in their attempts at two-stage, or high/low heater products, simply lowered the gas input for reduced power operation without adjusting the air input, resulting in poor combustion efficiency and fuel wastage.

Features of the SunTwin, for which a patent is pending, include the capability to power down output to conserve energy, eliminate gross overheating and provide softer, more comfortable heat. Powered by Natural Gas or LP/Propane Gas, operation is environmentally safe and offers energy savings of up to 75% over conventional heaters. An exclusive 24 volt 2-stage digital thermostat allows fewer on-off cycles for longer product life. Models are available with 50,000 to 200,000 BTUH inputs for Natural Gas and 45,000 to 160,000 BTUH for LP/Propane.

Equipped with a "bank" of BTUH's ready to be utilized during extreme or unpredictable cold periods, the SunTwin's robust design provides peace of mind and offers design flexibility. Individual heaters may be used singly for spot heating or in multiples to heat entire buildings, including: warehouses and distribution centers, parking garages, animal shelters, aircraft hangars, tennis courts, ice and roller rinks, manufacturing plants and auto repair facilities, for example.

All SunTwin heaters are CSA International design certified, factory prewired, prepiped and tested. Reliability is assured with seamless no-weld construction and rugged 16 gauge corrosion-free aluminized steel main frame. The complete ceramic burner assembly carries a lifetime warranty.
