Inertial Bypass Filters extend CEMS analyzer life.
September 1, 2005 - In high particulate, dusty environments such as cement mills or coal-fired power plants, FB-Series removes large particles of dust and ash from gas samples, preventing clogging of finer porosity filters of analysis equipment. Stainless steel construction tolerates corrosive gas environments, and high velocity flow enables self-cleaning for maintenance-free operation. Range of flow ratings and filter elements are available to suit monitoring application.

FB™ -Series Filters from Perma Pure Extend CEMS Analyzer Life
Toms River, NJ (August 9, 2005) – Gas streams with high levels of particulate matter can damage downstream monitoring equipment. Perma Pure’s FB™- Series Inertial Bypass Filters eliminate large amounts of particulate, extending the life and performance of particulate and coalescing filters in CEMS and process monitoring applications.
In high particulate, dusty environments like cement mills or coal-fired power plants, the FB-Series Inertial Bypass Filters can be used to remove large particles of dust and ash from gas samples, preventing them from clogging and damaging the finer porosity filters of analysis equipment. Cleaner samples produce more accurate measurements and reduce analyzer equipment wear.
The high velocity flow through the filter allows it to self clean for maintenance-free operation. The FB-Series’ stainless steel construction tolerates very corrosive gas environments, with a range of flow ratings and filter elements available to suit any monitoring application. For high temperature wet samples, an optional heating system is available to prevent sample loss through condensation.
FB-Series Bypass Filters can also be used to provide “fast loop” readings, reducing analyzer response time and extending life. In applications where the sampling system and sample point are separated by a significant distance, a pump or vacuum eductor can be used to pull the small 1-2 lpm sample required by the analyzer from the larger sample stream. The bypass sample is cleaned in the FB-Series filter and sent quickly to the analyzer for a fast, accurate reading.

Dear Sir,
I'm ADAMA LEYE and I'm in charge of the CAP3800 project which consist to analyse exhaust gas from engine cars.
CAPELEC is supplying devices to check cars pollution and to do engine diagnostic.
we need filter of paticules which integrated in our engine to analyse gas but not on cars
it will be used either on the petrol cars where the exhaust gas is not very dirty or on the diesel cars where the exhaust gas is very dirty (due to carbone particules) in order to analyse NO, NO2, SO2 and NH3 gases. We already use a filtration system for petrol cars to protect pumps, ... but in case where our system will be connect to a diesel car, we need to remove the carbone particules before. And I searching a filtration system where it is not necessary to clean the filter each time we will make a measurement on a car. The users don't want to spend their time to clean or to replace filters
do you have a filter to recommend me to use for our gas analyser? if yes
but i am interested with Inertial Bypass Filters extend CEMS analyzer life
can you give me datasheet for this product?
What is the life time duration of such a filter ?
Do you think your filters could be adapted for our application (diesel exhaust gas analysis) ?
Which grade must we use ? The diesel particules distribution start from 10nm particules to 1m. Note that there are a lot of particules between 100nm and 300nm.
By waiting your reply,
Best regards,
