Marposs to Introduce New E9066e Embedded Industrial PC at IMTS-2010
Auburn Hills, MI - Marposs Corp. will introduce its new E9066e embedded, industrial PC for measurement and inspection applications in booth # E-5521 at IMTS, Sept. 13-18, 2010, in Chicago.
The E9066e is designed on leading edge, embedded PC technology, featuring the INTEL® ATOM(TM) industrial-grade platform. Using ultra low-power processors to provide high performance with the lowest possible power dissipation, the new E9066e is a fanless and diskless industrial computer provided in a sealed, compact, shop-floor proof enclosure.
The E9066e requires no fans or bulky and costly heat exchange devices improving the cost/space/benefit ratio. The absence of moving parts within the E9066e, assures extra endurance and long-lasting reliability. Diskless technology and the use of solid-state, industrial-grade memory further extends the system's robustness, eliminating hard disk failures and allowing for working temperatures up to 45-degrees C.
Additional benefits of the E9066e unit's embedded operating system include fast startups, the absence of system failures due to file corruption, elimination of downtime for system re-installation and set-up, no worries over abrupt power interruptions.
Best-in-class connectivity includes four USB 2.0 ports, one each Ethernet Gigabit port, Ethernet 10/100 port and RS232 port, and up to two solid-state storage devices (Compact Flash or SSD). One Compact Flash is externally accessible by the user. Industrial fieldbus is also supported using specific fieldbus modules. Complementing connectivity are two standard miniPCI slots.
The E9066e is readily adaptable for bench mount or swiveling arm installations using industry standard VESA-compliant supports.
