AAEON Releases an Economic Industrial Motherboard -IMBM-700

Taipei Taiwan (December 26, 2008)-AAEON, a premier Industrial PC manufacturer, unveils the IMBM-700, an affordable industrial motherboard using the VIA C7(TM)/ Eden(TM) processor. Specially designed to support existing equipment in the Factory Automation market, the IMBM-700 offers legacy interface support for the ISA bus

The IMBM-700 is based on VIA's CN700 and VT8237R+ chipset and supports both the C7-M Ultra Low Voltage 1.0GHz for extremely low power applications all the way up to the C7-M 2.0GHz for applications requiring higher performance while maintaining low power requirements. Two 240-pin DDR II 400/533 DIMM sockets support up to 2GB. In addition, The IMBM-700 supports two 10/100Base-TX or Gigabit Ethernet for high bandwidth network connectivity.

"A key feature of the IMBM-700 is the ability to boot the system through CompactFlash(TM). It is no longer necessary to have a bulky HDD/ CD-ROM bay, allowing for a more compact chassis design, reduced power consumption and ultimately leading to a lower cost system. A typical characteristic of a factory automation device is stable operation with legacy bus interfaces such as ISA and RS-232. The IMBM-700 meets this demand when many computers have moved on to legacy-free designs ", said James Pan, Product Manager of AAEON's Industrial System Division.

The IMBM-700 offers two SATA I ports, one IDE, one Type II CompactFlash(TM) and one standard Floppy Disk interface for system operation and storage requirements. Peripheral requirements are met with eight USB ports, four COM ports, one parallel and one IrDA. Expansion needs are handled by two ISA slots, three PCI slots and one Mini-PCI connector. Audio capability includes mic-in, line-in and speaker-out. Display capability is via analog VGA through a standard 15 pin D-sub connector for CRT display.

The fan-less, low power IMBM-700 targets diverse applications, such as Factory Automation, Industrial Automation, Instrumentation, HMI, Thin Client and POS/KIOSK. If you are looking for a competitive and user-friendly Industrial Motherboard, the IMBM-700 is definitely your best choice. For more detailed product information, please visit www.aaeon.com.
