Honeywell Announces Global Launch of MeterSuite Metering Solution
System Focused on Gas and Liquids; Delivers Greater Cost Efficiency, Extended Lifecycle Support and Improved Process Control
BAVENO, Italy - Honeywell (NYSE:HON) today announced the global availability of its MeterSuite(TM) Fiscal metering solution, which is integrated within a sustainable and proven industrial control platform - Experion® Process Knowledge System (PKS) to provide full liquid and gas flow calculation for greater cost efficiency, extended lifecycle support and improved control. MeterSuite is the only commercially available metering solution able to be incorporated into a control system.
Developed in partnership with Swinton Technology, a leading independent metering solution integrator, MeterSuite is now available globally after its initial launch in EMEA and North America. It offers Honeywell Process Solutions' (HPS) customers the opportunity to carry out all types of metering using a common "off-the-shelf" and supportable platform without the need for customized hardware and engineering.
The two-tiered MeterSuite solution removes an entire layer from the traditional three-tier metering system, by linking directly to a facility's Distributed Control System (DCS). As a result, there are fewer serial and OPC links to maintain. MeterSuite also uses a single database, contrary to a traditional metering system, further reducing maintenance.
