Advantech's New HMI Family the New Wave of Industrial Designs with High-Tech Trends

Advantech has gone back to the drawing board and designed a completely new Industrial HMI family. Significant changes have been made to the Monitors, Panel PC's, and Computing Chassis. The new designs not only incorporate user-friendly innovations, but increased functionality as well. Moreover, the new technology Advantech is implementing provides greater reliability, enhanced performance, longer life cycles, improved accessibility and a variety of optional features. Regarding the aesthetic changes, the new blue/white color scheme is more eye catching and attractive, improving everyday ease-of-use for engineers.

The modular design and improved flexibility is a response to a variety of customer requests, and makes integration and maintenance much easier. The following FPM & UNO image highlights these changes.

The IPPC-7157A features a 15" XGA TFT LCD, an Intel Pentium D processor (up to 3.2 GHz), front USB design with water resistant cover, DDR2 memory bus support (up to 4 GB), 7 x PCI/PCIe expansion slots, and a flat-sealed front-panel providing water resistance for industrial applications. Meanwhile, the aluminum detachable side-open front panel (NEMA4/IP65 compliant) allows for easy installation and maintenance. For user interface considerations this model also has a front-accessible USB 2.0 port, programmable membrane function keys & touchpad, OSD control behind the panel, and optional analog resistive touchscreen through USB Interface.

The IPPC-6152A features a 15" XGATFT LCD, and an Intel Pentium M processor up to 2 GHz. With a front-accessible USB design, a DDR2 memory bus that supports up to 2 GB, a slim CD-ROM drive, and 2 PCI expansion slots, the IPPC-6152A is one of the most feature rich HMI devices on the market today.

The IPPC-6152A is designed with a flat-sealed front-panel design with liquid run-off makes maintenance much more convenient. Even more, the control box has the gull-wing design for easy component installation and maintenance. For user interface considerations, the front-access USB 2.0 port is NEMA4/IP65 compliant, and makes front-access installation and maintenance

The FPM-5151G features a 15" XGA TFT LCD Monitor with a high brightness and flexible brightness adjustment between 0 ~250 nits, so that it can be operated under strong light or conversely, in an insufficiently light environment. Furthermore, it is a well-designed for any rugged environment. The FPM-5151G also features VGA & DVI-Dcombo video signal input, which allows users to upgrade their displays without making changes to their existing system and also provides digital graphic converts to digital graphic transmission functions.

The IPPC family supports most Windows operating systems, including Windows 2000, XP, Vista, and it provide dual LAN features to make the highest connectivity to the enterprise. In conclusion, Advantech's advanced new HMI designs offer open platforms with amazingly high potential to serve a variety of industrial applications
