Nematron Introduces the New ePC-Plus Industrial PCs
"Making a Great Series Even Better"
Ann Arbor, Michigan - January 23, 2009 - Nematron Corporation announces the launch of the new ePC-Plus Series of Industrial Computers. These new computers further enhance the ultra-thin yet powerful ePC-Series by now providing, PCI expansion (two ¾-length cards), two easily removable hard drives and a hot swappable, easily removable DVD-R/W drive. All this is accomplished in a mere 1.0" deeper unit than the successful ePC-Series. The ePC-Plus offers unparalleled value and superb quality at a competitive price while eliminating the "big, bulky, and expensive" stereotype usually associated with Industrial PCs. There are currently three sizes, 15", 17", and 19" in this series with more additions to follow. All are available with 5-wire Analog Resistive touchscreens and NEMA sealed panel mount front panels. Their compact size and thin panel mounted depth of 4.0" (101.6mm) make them ideal for installation in most industrial applications.

The ePC-Plus Series computers include 15" (ePC1550), XGA, 17" (ePC1750) SXGA, and a 19" (ePC1950) SXGA LCD version. All versions are standard with 100-240 VAC input power supplies, have NEMA 4/4x/12 panel mountable front panels, and are less than 4.125" deep when panel mounted. Stainless Steel front panels, Solid State non-rotating hard drives, High Reliability hard drives, and 24 Volt DC input power are available options for all three. The extensive I/O eliminates the need for several expansion slots for standard computer features while the two PCI slots provide a method for network, data acquisition, motion controller, and other industrial connections. I/O ports included on every unit include; two 10/100/1000 Ethernet, one RS-485/422/232, two RS-232, four USB 2.0, PS/2 mouse, PS/2 keyboard, and even an external Video connection that supports dual display with extended desktop. With options up to an Intel Core 2 Duo 2.2 GHz processor running at 800 MHz with 4 MB onboard CACHE the ePC-Plus Series provides enough processing power to run the most complex HMI and SCADA applications.
