Induction Heating Systems combine modularity and versatility.

Press Release Summary:

Comprising 72 models with ratings from 10–1,200 kW and frequencies from 750 Hz to 150 kHz, EKOHEAT systems are parallel resonant with multiple tap transformer configurations to enable matching of part. Power can be added to each system as requirements change, and direct offline inverter and power factor in excess of 0.9 promote efficacy. Along with ability to change capacitance in workhead, versatile systems offer digital agile frequency tuning to ensure repeatability.

Ambrell to Unveil New EKOHEAT Systems at IMTS

The new line of induction heating systems is versatile, modular and available at up to 1200 kW

Scottsville, NY — Ambrell, a leading manufacturer of induction heating solutions, has released a new line of EKOHEAT induction heating systems, which it will highlight at the International Manufacturing Technology Show (IMTS). The show will take place September 8-13 at McCormick Place in Chicago, IL, and Ambrell will be located in booth N-6042.

The new EKOHEAT line consists of 72 models ranging from 10 kW to 1200 kW and frequencies ranging from 750 Hz to 150 kHz. The new systems have a modular design which enables power to be added to each system later if application requirements change. Additionally, the system design offers parts commonality to enable simplified worldwide support. EKOHEATs are highly efficient with a direct offline inverter and a power factor in excess of 0.9.

Versatility is another key benefit of the new EKOHEAT systems. They are parallel resonant with multiple tap transformer configurations to enable matching of the part. The ability to change capacitance in the workhead adds further versatility. Digital agile frequency tuning ensures repeatability. The workhead may be located up to 30 m (100 feet) from the EKOHEAT power supply which means a minimal footprint is required. All EKOHEAT systems feature a large, easy-to-use front panel display and are compatible with Ambrell’s eVIEW process data collection software tool.

“We’re excited to discuss all of the benefits of our new EKOHEAT induction heating systems at IMTS,” said Tom Dickerson, Director of Sales. “They are highly versatile, efficient, scalable and available in a wide range of power levels. There are many advantages to induction from Ambrell, and we look forward to showing IMTS attendees how we can help enhance their heating process and improve their productivity with an induction solution from Ambrell.”

Free application testing is always available in Ambrell’s applications laboratories. For additional details about Ambrell and the new EKOHEAT induction heating systems, call +1 (585) 889-9000 or visit http://www.ambrell.com.
