Shipping Impact Indicator

A simple device turns bright red when subjected to any impact that exceeds a pre-set limit. Shockwatch is the name of the
indicator which can be applied with (or without) a warning label to nearly any product, package, carton, bottle or other
container. Indicators are available in five (5) different sensitivity or impact threshold levels. Impact (bumping, jolting,
dropping, etc.) exceeding the selected threshold level, in any direction, will leave an unmistakable, lasting warning sign of
abuse, mishandling or mishap that can not be erased, disguised or hidden.

The Shockwatch label with sensor, primarily used on the outside of packages, containers or crates, is the first line of
defense against rough handling. A Shockwatch Label is comprised of the sensor and a colorful warning label that surrounds and holds the sensor. The warning labels are colour-coded to coincide with specific threshold levels, suitable carrier consignments and recommended product protection applications. Actual use and statistical testimony gathered from users has shown the high visibility, and proclaimed awareness of Shockwatch monitoring is by itself a strong deterrent to rough handling. When shipping problems inadvertently occur, Shockwatch can help pinpoint the source of mishandling and improve claims recovery.

The Shockwatch clip (sensor in plastic housing only) is often placed on products themselves for continual monitoring thus
affording the product additional protection and indication of rough handling after the product has been removed from the
shipping container. The Shockwatch Clip may be used in-house (work-in-proccss/storage) or in-transit for shipped goods.

A Shockwatch spokesperson reported the labels and clips were a key part of - The Shockwatch Loss Prevention Program,
designed to minimize shipping problems and deliver a quality message with a wide variety of consumer and industrial goods, such as, but not limited to: impact sensitive items - artwork, auto parts, avionics, computers, electronics, furniture,
calibrated machinery, medical instrumentation, optics and military ordnance. Other program elements include education,
an installation video, carrier and customer training and in-house seminars.
