December 27, 2002 - Immersion Heaters are offered in screw-plug, flange, and over-the-side styles to accommodate virtually any solution, including acids, plating chemicals, food products, and molten sand baths. Units feature MgO heating elements; NEMA moisture- or explosion-resistant enclosures; copper, steel or Incoloy sheath; welded construction; and operating temperatures to 1,600°F. Thermostatic controls, passivated elements and plugs/flanges for pure or deionized water are optional.

Durex Offers Expanded Line of Immersion Heaters

Durex Industries, a leading supplier of electric heaters and temp sensors, announces an expanded line of immersion heaters for process solutions use.

Immersion heaters from Durex are now available in screw-plug, flange and over-the-side styles to suit most applications in the process industries. Virtually any solution, from acids to plating chemicals to food products and even molten salt baths, where a reliable source of immersed heat is required, can be accommodated by a Durex heater.

Standard features include heavy-duty MgO heating elements made entirely by Durex; NEMA moisture- or explosion-resistant enclosures; copper, steel or Incoloy sheath; welded construction and operating temperatures to 1600°F (863°C).

Optional features include thermostatic controls; other sheath materials such as Carpenter 20, Monel, Inconel or titanium; passivated elements and plugs/flanges for pure or deionized water, photo chemicals and other special processes.

A 28-page catalog is available, which describes the full assortment of immersion heaters and tubular elements from Durex. Standard and custom styles offered.
