Immersion Chiller cools hydraulic fluid, oil, and emulsions.
July 2, 2004 - Modular Immersion Chiller combines chiller, refrigeration circuit, and electrical system. Serpentine stainless steel evaporator with agitator ensures maximum heat transfer, while nonferrous construction and powder-coated finish provide corrosion resistance. Modular design facilitates maintenance of all components including copper or stainless steel cooling coils that can collect slime as fluids build up. Interior components can be maintained through removable panels.

Rittal Modular Immersion Chillers Guarantee Maximum Heat Exchange
SPRINGFIELD, OH, June 2004 – Rittal Corporation offers a modular immersion chiller that provides ideal cooling of hydraulic fluids, oils and emulsions circulated during manufacturing processes. With a user-friendly design of three major components including a chiller, refrigeration circuit and electrical system, this immersion chiller modular design simplifies maintenance. It also provides outstanding corrosion resistance with its nonferrous construction and durable powder-coated finish.
Because oil temperatures increase when used with cutting equipment, chiller systems are deployed to return fluids to proper temperatures for safe, consistent machine operation, reliability and extended service life. By maintaining proper fluid (oil – emulsion) temperatures in machine tool and filtration systems, Rittal’s immersion chiller helps reduce inefficiency, resulting in an increased output of products.
CE certified, this chiller’s modular configuration ensures easy maintenance of all components including the copper or stainless steel cooling coils that can collect slime as fluids build up. Interior components can also be easily maintained through removable panels on the chillers.
Rittal’s immersion chiller design also features a special serpentine stainless steel evaporator with an agitator, guaranteeing maximum heat transfer from oils and emulsions. Other design characteristics include: an IP54-certified enclosure for protection against water and dust; an IP44 power box (>6 kW) for environmental protection; and 50 Hz and 60 Hz configurations.
Modular designs are available for either oil applications or emulsions. A choice of environmental friendly refrigerants is standard for all Rittal chillers.
