January 15, 2008 - Designed for sign shops and medium sized digital graphics producers, SEAL® 62 Base laminator offers heat assisted, pressure sensitive image finishing up to 62 in. wide. Including lower automatic take-up shaft for removing release liners and roll-to-roll laminating system for volume print finishing, unit comes with low-heat top roller. It features ergonomic digital controls, auto grip supply shafts, swing-up feed table, adjustable pressure and speed settings, and manual nip adjustment.

SEAL® Introduces New 62 Base Laminator


Elkridge, MD, October 24, 2007 and SGIA 2007, Orlando, Florida, October 24-27, 2007 -- SEAL® brand has expanded their cost-effective, yet production oriented, line of "Base" laminators with the addition of the new SEAL® 62 Base. According to SEAL, the new 62 joins the SEAL 54 Base in addressing the needs of sign shops and medium sized digital graphics producers for affordable finishing solutions with professional productivity features.

The 62 Base offers heat-assisted, pressure-sensitive image finishing up to 61" wide, with a low-heat top roller that affords improved lay-down performance for pressure-sensitive materials ranging from laminating films and adhesives to self-adhesive vinyl media and sign vinyl. Two new productivity options include a lower automatic take-up shaft for removing release liners, and a roll-to-roll laminating system for volume print finishing.

The new 62 Base affords easy operation for novice and experienced users alike. Features include: ergonomic digital controls, auto grip supply shafts, swing-up feed table for easy webbing, adjustable pressure and speed settings, manual nip adjustment, a foot switch, full safety systems, and a sturdy frame with casters. Production speeds are up to 16.4 fpm (5 mpm) and the 62's roller nip opening can accommodate substrates up to 2" (50 mm) thick. MSRP is $9,849. Options are priced separately.
